This article explains how to search the org chart using basic and advanced search functions.

Basic Search Function

When viewing your org chart, you can search for a person or position title using the search field in the upper left corner of the page. Once you begin entering a name or title in the field, the system will populate results to narrow your search.

Note: You can also jump to a profile by using the search bar at the top of the main navigation.

Advanced Search Function

Advanced search functions are available for organizations that utilize the Built Position Management module and/or Bio tab feature. If your organization utilizes the Bio tab feature, you can search the org chart to identify individuals with specific skills, licenses, and certifications. Built’s Advanced Org Design features allow you to store these and other credentials in a person's profile on their Bio tab.

To narrow your search, click in the search field and select one of the available options (Everything, People, Positions, Skills, or License & Certifications). Once you have selected a search category, the category will be displayed in the search bar, followed by a colon. Continue typing to the right of the colon to locate a specific position ID, skill, license, certification, etc., within that category.
