Securing your data is a primary concern of ours. To that end, we've taken the following steps to protect your company's information within Built.

Infrastructure and Environment

We leverage the industry-leading Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform to create a secure application environment. Built resides within a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), which prevents direct access to the servers where data is stored.

Encryption for Data-in-Transit

All information sent between our AWS servers and your computer is encrypted during transit using industry-standard 256-bit SSL connections. Every page view from login to logout happens within the confines of an SSL-secured session.

Encryption for Data-at-Rest

As data is saved on our AWS servers, it is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption algorithms. To accomplish this, we use encryption-enabled AWS RDS DB instances as well as encrypting all files stored on AWS S3.

Encryption Key Rotation

An extra layer of protection for your employee information. Not only is your information encrypted, but the keys to manage the encryption are regularly rotated as the highest level of information protection using Amazon's AWS Key Management Service (KMS) for key management and rotation.

Billing and Payments

Billing and payment information is processed by Stripe.com, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Data Backup

Data is continuously backed up to AWS servers, providing redundancy, failover, and robust data protection.
