For the most part, your data should import from ADP without any issues. Occasionally, though, you may experience an error. Read on to learn what those errors mean and how you can resolve them.

Employee ID must be unique

In Built for Teams the employee ID is treated as a unique identifier. That means each employee has to have their own, unique employee ID. If the data you are importing includes multiple people who have the same employee ID, you'll see this error. To resolve this, go to your data source and make sure each employee has a unique employee ID and then import your data again.

Work email must be unique

In Built for Teams the email address is treated as a unique identifier. That means each employee has to have their own, unique email address. If the data you are importing includes multiple people who have the same email address, you'll see this error. To resolve this, go to your data source and make sure each employee has a unique email address and then import your data again.

You have reached the maximum number of employees allowed

This error means your Built for Teams trial/billing plan is too small for the number of employee records you are trying to import from ADP. The best way to resolve this is to go into your ADP marketplace account and choose a larger plan that can accommodate the size of your organization. If you have any questions or need assistance with this, please use the support icon at the lower left of the page in your Built for Teams account.
