Built for Teams is a modern, intuitive way to track both time worked and time off. To track time off you'll first need to create time off policies that reflect your organization's rules.

The following article and video will be helpful in getting you up and running quickly, but if you have any questions our support team is always happy to help you make sure your account is configured correctly!

Built for Teams can handle a wide range of types or categories of time off. We've compiled a list of some of the most common types of time off that we see customers offer to their employees, but rest assured that we can probably handle anything you need even if you don't see it on this list!

Most of the types of time off that you'd need to track will actually fall into one of the following four general categories, so we've written articles explaining how to set up each type:

  1. Lump Sum: Time off is earned all at once on a specified date each year.

  2. Scheduled Accruals: Time off is earned in regular, scheduled increments throughout the year (e.g. bimonthly).

  3. Accrue by Hours Worked: Time off is earned based on actual hours worked by each employee.

  4. Unlimited: No specific amount of time off is earned, but the system still handles requests and approvals for recording purposes.

The following video will walk you through instructions for adjusting policy settings, creating a new time off policy, or editing an existing policy. We hope this video will assist you in customizing as many policies as your organization needs.

Once you have your policies created, these next steps would be appropriate:
