Sending Reminders to PTO Approvers

Ensure approvers are aware of PTO requests awaiting their approval.

For customers of our PTO module.


When a PTO request is submitted, Built immediately sends an email to the appropriate person for review. Sometimes, though, people don't take immediate action to approve a request and then forget to do it later.

If you're having trouble with approvers not approving time off requests in a timely manner, you might benefit from letting Built send a daily reminder email.

To enable this feature:

  1. Click your company name at the top of the main navigation, then click Company Settings.

  2. Click the Paid Time Off tab.

  3. Click the Edit Settings button.

  4. Select Yes if you want Built to send daily reminders for unapproved requests. The system will now automatically remind managers and admins when time off requests are awaiting their approval.
